Ecumenical Buddhist Society
1015 W. Chester (corner of 2nd and Chester), Little Rock
The Ecumenical Buddhist Society offers nonsectarian, silent meditation several times during the week labeled Silent Sitting Meditation in the weekly schedule. The leader rings the bell, participants sit for 30 minutes , the leader rings the bell and the session is over. There is no discussion. It is an opportunity to practice meditation in a group setting.
Single-path (unicursal) labyrinths have only a single, non-branching path, which leads to the center. A labyrinth in this sense has an unambiguous route to the center and back and is not designed to be difficult to navigate. The labyrinth may be used to provide structure for walking meditation. Churches and other venues have built labyrinths and make them available to the public and there is generally a restriction of noise in the labyrinth. Labyrinths below include both inside & outdoor venues.
Labyrinths vary as to availability by location. Information below. Best to call & confirm before you go.
